If you're searching for the perfect wedding venue, look no further than The Azalea Event Venue in South Jordan. This stunning new venue, which opened its doors in January 2020, is a true gem. One of the first things you'll notice when you visit is the incredible natural light that floods the space. As a wedding photographer, I can tell you that this is a dream come true!

Why Natural Light Matters

Natural light is a photographer's best friend. It allows us to capture beautiful, vibrant images without the need for constant flash. While I can work in any lighting situation, using flashes can be disruptive, especially during intimate moments like the ceremony. No one wants to be distracted by flashes going off every few seconds. At The Azalea, the abundance of natural light ensures that everyone can stay fully immersed in the moment.


Capturing Candid Moments

One of the biggest advantages of shooting in a venue with ample natural light is the ability to take countless candid photos. I pride myself on being a "photographer ninja," quietly moving around to capture genuine moments without anyone noticing. If I had to rely on flash, it would be much harder to get those spontaneous, heartfelt shots that truly tell the story of your day.


The Azalea's Unique Charm

The Azalea Event Venue boasts soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls, and romantic string lights, creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. It's a versatile space that can be tailored to fit your vision, whether you're planning a grand celebration or an intimate gathering. A Note on Evening Coverage

While natural light is fantastic, even the best photographers can't harness the power of the sun into the night. For the dancing portion of the evening, I did use my on and off-camera flashes to ensure every moment was captured perfectly. Rest assured, I always strive to balance the use of flash to maintain the ambiance and keep the focus on the celebration.
